You Shall Prevail

With the affliction of disease and the burden of pain
they held to their God, their answer remained the same.
They did not change their tune or begin to bow.
They said "Jesus is God and He is with me now."
When disaster rampaged and took away their homes,
their courage became emblazoned when others fell and roamed.
Tortured and beat, lied upon and bruised
they were living sacrifices--offered to God to be used.
Their futures were clear and their skies were bright,
though to an outsider their circumstances seemed blight.
Their answer remained the same, to Jesus they remained true.
They believed in their God as He instructed them to.
Some did forsake them as they kept watch during the night.
They continued to stand their ground and said, "His Word is my light."
God's people are present and with us every day.
You know them by their actions and what they say.
When faced with everyday challenges and pestilence unrestrained,
you'll know God's people for their answer will remain the same.
No trial will be too rough and no temptation will be able to seduce
God's people from remaining faithful and rejoicing at His use.
